Dharamshala
In the Himalayan Dhauladhar range sits the charming hill town of Dharamshala. Situated on the top slopes of the Kangra valley, it serves as the winter capital of Himachal Pradesh. During the colonial era, Dharamsala was a British hill station. However, Tibetan communities eventually took over, and the Dalai Lama, the most influential Buddhist leader, currently resides there.
